IT Ministry Hosts DAMAC Business Delegation
A business delegation from DAMAC Properties, one of Dubai’s most prominent real estate companies, visited the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication. The delegation was warmly received by Federal Minister for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima, who shared a comprehensive overview of Pakistan’s digital transformation journey.
During the meeting, the minister briefed the delegation on Pakistan’s Digital Nation Vision, highlighting government policies focused on digital governance, innovation, and economic growth through technology.

Focus on Women’s Digital and Financial Inclusion
A major part of the discussion revolved around initiatives aimed at empowering women through technology. The delegation was informed that half a million women are being provided digital wallets as part of the Ramadan Package. These wallets will allow women to receive financial assistance directly, reducing dependency on physical cash and intermediaries.
The minister also explained how women are benefiting from financial facilities linked with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), which are now being integrated with digital platforms to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility.

Both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation to enhance efficiency and liquidity using modern technologies. Topics included outsourcing, technology talent development, proptech solutions, and tokenization, reflecting Pakistan’s growing role in the global digital economy.

The delegation also commended the talent and technical capabilities of Pakistani youth, describing them as a key strength for future technology-driven partnerships.
